Is transness new, experimental, and 'unnatural'? This year’s Murphy Visiting Scholar & Drake Lecturer Colby Gordon will lecture on “Trans Natures in John Lyly’s Galatea” on Wednesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Reves Recital Hall. This talk considers all the ways that transness is 'natural' in John Lyly's 1588 Galatea, a play in which transition is proposed as a solution to both human sacrifice and climate catastrophe. Bring your family and friends! This event is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required.
